French Duets and Russian Duos

The Gourmet Concert Series returns with the two-piano team of Daniel Glover and Thomas Hansen, who individually and as a team have provided years of musical excitement and entertainment to Gourmet Concert audiences. The program’s first half features works played on one piano: the Sonata by Poulenc, excerpts from Bizet’s Jeux d’enfants (Children’s Games), and Ravel’s Rapsodie espagnole. Both works are well-known in their orchestral versions, but these duet versions are also by the composers themselves. The second half will be performed on two pianos: Rachmaninoff’s Suite No. 1 and the Polovtsian Dances of Borodin.
